This is a tech site and many may think what a ridiculous post I am writing about ‘Male fertility in danger’. It should have been in some health blog or most must be guessing that it’s a paid post. Well, both the hunches are absolutely wrong. This is indeed a health post but still it is related to tech world also.
I got this link from a friend of mine http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4078895.stm. As I went through the article I was shocked. Just a year back there was a rumor about mobile hampering male fertility and not this news. The title ‘Laptops may damage male fertility’. It said that “Men who use laptop computers could be unwittingly damaging their fertility, experts believe”. First I thought that it was just another rumor but then this news was published in bbc. It couldn’t be false.
Some of the quotes from the articles are as follows…..
“The researchers asked 29 healthy male volunteers aged between 21 and 35 to take part in an experiment. They then recorded the temperature changes to the scrotum caused by laptop use and different seating positions over one hour time periods. Just sitting with the thighs together, a posture needed to balance a laptop, caused scrotal temperatures to rise by 2.1C. “
