Hooked to Travian

Have you joined the Travian? It’s a simple browser based strategic game but the reality is more than just that. I have been hooked to what many may call a simple browser based game for a long time and I can’t seem to get out of it. People who enjoy computer games and PSP games might find it boring as there’s no attractive graphics at all in this games. It’s kinda strategic war game but there are no weapons and no blood spills. So, what’s so captivating about this game that not only me but thousands of people of all ages are addicted to it; that so many people have stopped doing anything else than playing this game.
Right now I am at my office desk and I am playing this game though it’s not allowed to be played during office time. Many times I even thought of quieting my office as I can’t what I say dedicate myself fully on Travian and my alliance is suffering from it. I’ve made few great friends thru this same and we constantly talk over Skype about strategies we need to follow to defeat out opponents. A friend of mine who actually was a sitter for me and who is more than 55 years old once said that “I love this game coz it’s given a way to pass my time. It’s different than other computer games as the opponents are real human beings and thus has endless possibilities.” The game also teaches about leadership, trust, alliance, cooperation, friendship, sacrifice, intelligence and much other stuff.
The only thing I don’t like is it takes all my time. I don’t have time to do anything else. Even second I am planning and I’m alert if someone might attack me. I have to be cautious every second. A single mistake and I (my village) might be farmed to death. Currently, I am in speed server (comx) and things happen really quickly on it. The war is about to break out and I’ve to be ready for it. My leaders are planning hard and we are following the instructions quite well till now. Hope we can rule the comx server. - Power to All
