UcoZ – A Free Website Management System

Nowadays, Content management systems (CMS) are in very high stake. As it saves a lot of money as well as time, people are shifting to CMS.

A content management system is computer software used to create, edit, manage, and publish content in a consistently-organized fashion.Wiki

I have been using Wordpress which is one of the most popular CMS for over a year now and I am fully satisfied with it. But there are certain limitations with Wordpress. It is a very good CMS probably the best one for blogging but if I need a full-fledge website with forums, blogs, photo albums then it might not be enough or even if you can do it through it, it’s going to be very difficult.

The more effective and easy way out is some website management system that provides user-friendly interface for creating a whole website with all the features that you can ever think of in just a snap. Now, I’ve come across UcoZ Web-Services which does just that. It’s a free SaaS CMS (Software as a Service) working according to the principles of Web 2.0 and allows creation complicated web projects in extremely easy fashion. There are many beautiful templates to choose from. Furthermore, they are providing 200 Mb of free hosting with the possibility of expansion up to 5000 Mb. There are many modules (modules are improving and extending regularly) that can be combined and used in a website. Currently there are following modules embedded:

  • Forum (Bulletin Board)
  • Site News
  • Web Journal (Blog)
  • Publisher (Articles Catalogue)
  • Files Catalogue
  • Links Catalogue
  • Tag Board (Mini-Chat)
  • Ad Board
  • Photo Albums
  • Web Polls
  • Guestbook
  • FAQ Service
  • E-mail Forms
  • Pages Editor
  • Statistics (Hit Counter)

The features are numerous to count. You have to experience it yourself. And you don’t even need to download anything to your computer. All you need to do is sign up and then you’ve a complete site ready to be published.
