How plastic comes?

We are using plastic materials in our day to day life in the form of milk bottles, water pipes/tanks, food containers, plastic bags, etc. But how many of us have ever cared to really think that how plastic comes, how it’s really made and what it’s made up of? Well, it’s a complicated chemical equation which I too don’t know. I had read about it when I was in high-school but now I don’t remember it. Anyways, I know this much that to make plastic materials we need raw materials.

One of the raw materials I recently read about which is used as a raw material for making plastic products is HDPE or High Density Polyethylene. I had heard about LDPE but HDPE is a much denser and stronger plastic than that. Plastic product manufacturers can buy raw HDPE in various forms like: granules, pellets, film, regrind, or scrap (waste) from different raw material manufacturing companies to start their production. Did I forget to mentions scrap HDPE Nets are also available as raw materials? The nets are white and gray color (a bit dirty so they need to be washed before re-processing). Not that you have got a tiny-winy of idea on how your plastic products comes please help spread the words that plastic can be recycled, so not waste them.
