That nail-biting welterweight superfight between ‘The Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. which took place on May 5, 2007, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada will be long remembered. It was one of the most profitable matches of all time generating revenue of over $120 million. In that match Floyd Mayweather Jr. won by split decision over Oscar De La Hoya in 12 rounds and captured the WBC light middleweight title but the fight is not over yet. Oscar De La Hoya wants the title back in his waist. He wants a rematch and it seems like he’s going to get it. Golden Boy Promotions' CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN that the bout is "almost finalized" for September 13 or September 20.

It is going to be a great fight. Everyone has to see this fight. I bet it is going to be better than their last meeting. I’m sure Oscar De La Hoya will be looking for a sheer vengeance and nothing more and Mayweather will do whatever needed to protect his title. I’m so excited about this legendary sequel that I can’t wait for September to come. You too book your De La Hoya vs Mayweather tickets now.
