The world’s cheapest car : Tata Nano

This is one of the most exciting news that the whole world has been waiting to hear. The cheapest car of the world has been successfully manufactured by Tata Motors, India. It’s called the Nano. Tata has been working on it for few years now. Nicked named as the “Peoples’ car”, the Nano is set to change the face of not only the Indian car market, but the global auto industry with the cost of a mere 100,000 rupees (roughly $2,500).

Powered by a 623cc two-cylinder engine with 33 horsepower capable of 65 miles an hour, Nano is over 10 feet long, 5 feet wide, has got 4 doors, 4 small wheels at the absolute corners and a small big trunk. Though cheap it still meets the safety requirements and emission norms, to be fuel efficient and low on emissions.

This fantastic car will be out on sale in India later this year and Tata plans to offer the Nano in other emerging markets in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa within four years. Lets see, if this car is really as good as everyone is expecting it to be.
