6666666 is now the World's most expensive mobile number

I’ve written a post about some expensive mobile phones and other expensive stuffs but this is something new even for me. A mobile number was sold for 10m Qatari riyals or £1.5m. Your mouth must me wide open huh. Yes, I’m not kidding in any way. This is a fact. And the magic number is 6666666 (sever sixes). I beat the previous record of £270,000 which was set by a Chinese number 88888888.

The auction was held in 23rd May 2006 in Qatar by national Telco Qtel and was started at a million riyals. According to Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) the auction took an interesting mode narrowing from eight bidders to just two and later ending up in 10m riyals. Rumor has it that the number is to be transferred to Iranian President.

I don’t know much about numerology or any other number stuff but I sure now that £1.5m is hell of a very big number in itself.
