Avot mV for all Web Enabled Phones

As I must have already mentioned I’ve got a Nokia 6230. I bought it some four or five years ago. At that time it was very popular and expensive too. Tom Cruise had that mobile in some movie … MI2 as far as I remember. There weren’t many like it and it was really cool to have that mobile at that time. Tables have really been turned since then. I’ve been hearing a lot about Windows mobile phones and other N-Series mobile sets and what they can do and while listening to what people are talking it seems like my mobile is out of date and I have to throw it off somewhere.

Anyways, about a month ago I heard about this unique video delivery platform for web enabled phones, iPhone/iPod Touch called Avot mV which enables users to search, personalize and play videos from all over the Internet. I had mentioned about it in my previous posts too. Avot mV is the first of its kind that gives mobile users unlimited access to any web-based videos. Its intelligent search capability incorporates personal preferences so that users can quickly discover and choose from among billions of videos posted on the Web. Also it lets you organize the videos in the internet in the playlist and watch them on the go. Actually turns your mobile phone into a kind of entertainment jukebox allowing you to watch what you want and when you want. And you don’t even need to convert the selected videos to the mobile format. Cool huh?

Well, at that time it was in testing phase limited to certain web enabled mobile phones only and there were many questions that were being raised regarding it’s compatibility with other mobile sets and whether it will be available to other sets such as Motorola Razor, Samsung Sync, LG/Treo or not? Good news is that now it works on your RAZR, iPhone, N75 and many others web enabled phone and they have also added few new features like “Active Search” and “Merlin” which are very similar to features of desktop applications.

Through Active Search, the system basically search through the video index as the user types providing a best fit match. So, only with a few key strokes you can find your favorite video. Merlin is another key feature that enables us to make personalized recommendations to video viewers. More on these features can be found out in Avot mV’s official blog.

Overall, I think Avot mV is a pretty unique innovation that helps to achieve real-time streaming and personalization of video delivery to web-enabled mobile devices and I really look forward to using it in my mobile too. May be I won’t throw it out then. And don’t forget to check out Avot mV’s Product Site and its Corporate Site for details.
