Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to LogIn

Here is another small tweak which will prompt to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before logging in. Actually this is required for the secure login. This process guarantees the system from other programs that mimic a login screen to retrieve password information.

  1. Start -> Run -> type ‘control userpasswords2’ without quotes and enter
  2. The User Accounts dialog box appears
  3. Select the ‘Advanced’ tab
  4. In the bottom check the ‘require user to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete’ and click OK

Now restart to see the change into affect. From this time onwards, the system will ask you to press ‘Ctrl-Alt-Delete’ before logging in.
