Change autoplays for different types of CD

You may have noticed that whenever you insert an mp3 CD in your CD-drive it automatically gets played, or when you insert a movie it gets started automatically or when a data CD is inserted it gets opened. Sometimes these things might be irritating and sometimes there may be a necessity to do different things when different type of CD is inserted.
Well, Windows XP includes the ability to perform different actions depending on the type of CD you insert into the drive. It’s easier done than said.
1. Right click the CD drive -> Properties
2. Select the ‘Autoplay’ tab
3. There you can choose between two types of action
4. If you want to be prompted each time you insert a CD choose ‘Prompt me each….’ otherwise you select ‘Select an action to perform’.
5. Now if you have selected ‘Select an action to perform’, use the dropdown box to see the various recognized types of CD and choose appropriate actions for them.
