Make your own “Shut Down” shortcut

How many of you know, what actually happens inside when we press a button that we see on our computer? How the computer shuts down just by a simple click on a button? Well, I too don’t know how stuffs work inside. It’s too complicated but I my job is to try to find out how to do rather than to know why it happened.

So, I may not know what’s actually happening but I sure can make my own shortcut of shutdown, restart or logoff and place it anywhere so that I can just click it and turn off the computer or logoff. The trick is simple. It’s same as making other shortcuts.

  1. Right-Click where you want to make the shortcut
  2. Select New -> Shortcut
  3. In the location of the file name, just type ‘shutdown’ or ‘logoff’ and press ‘Next’
  4. Type the name of the shortcut and Finish

And your shortcut is ready to use. Now just click or press the shortcut you made to logoff or shutdown.
