Force Use of Classic Start Menu

If it’s you personal computer, then you may not like others to change the way it looks. Some people changes the settings in your computer the way they like. Well, it’s not fair. They should do that and a way to make them not change your setting is to force them the use of your settings. The process is simple. I like classic start menu and I’ve loaded the Classic Start Menu in such a way that it is impossible to change back to the Windows XP version.

  1. Start -> Run -> Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
  3. Modify/Create DWORD Value of data type REG_DWORD Named [NoSimpleStartMenu]
  4. Default value is 0, make it 1 to force the Classic Start Menu
  5. Exit registry and reboot
